Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Long Beach will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in California usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Such an amazing little gem! I've been a regular here for awhile now and grabbing a coffee before work always brings me a little joy before my day. The space is cozy, with whimsical atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in the middle of an old time Library. It's always bustling with students and local people co-working, which is nice. The staff are always so friendly and understanding, and will modify your drink if needed. They're also very good at handling the rushes and long lines, and I've never waited too long for my drink. They have LOTS of syrups and milks to choose from if you want to modify your coffee. The selection of pastries and snacks are plenty too. Whenever my parents visit from out of town, this is their favorite spot to order coffee and the spanakopita from.

Lowkey stopped ordering coffee from here because a barista with tinted glasses has no idea how to make coffee. Issues with lattes, mochas, they didn’t know how to make a certain tea latte & doubled down. They also doubled down on a flavored latte that had… minimal flavor, that her coworker perfectly remade. They hand out drinks with the syrup sitting at the bottom… not mixing drinks is a special kind of talent, given it’s not that difficult. Maybe working in coffee for 8 years raised my standards, but I’ll only get a Diet Coke here anymore, and only come for the atmosphere. Not to mention the broken health code regulations, LA county requires food service workers to wear hats. Paying $7 for a drink that’s incorrectly made AND is only remade with an audible side convo telling your coworker that you made it correctly… is not cool. It’s okay to not know how to make drinks, it’s not okay to be unwilling to learn after consistently showing these behaviors for months. The inconsistency in drinks is difficult because drinks turn out different with every barista, and when I see certain baristas, I know it’ll be bad. Otherwise, baristas are nice in general. The manager is awesome. Atmosph

A charming café with a wonderfully cozy atmosphere; the dark interior actually adds to the character rather than taking away from it. The coffee was delicious, and the pastries were a surprisingly pleasant discovery , genuinely better than expected! One sweet touch: I ordered a simple pie and it came beautifully presented with a salad and sauce on the side, which was a nice surprise. However, I’m knocking off a star for the tables - they were visibly dirty and no one was wiping them down. I ended up cleaning mine myself with napkins, which wasn’t a great feeling. Overall a lovely spot worth visiting.

I had a bit of trouble finding a table, and the quality of the items I ordered—the cheesecake and the drink—was unfortunately not what I was hoping for. The service lacked warmth. I share these thoughts in hopes that it helps the team refine things moving forward.

Where do I start?!?!? It's such a great feeling to find a gem in a big city like Long Beach!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED our visit to this cozy spot! I WILL DEFINITELY take a trip again to visit here!! I live about 40 min away and I think it's TOTALLY worth your time and money!! If you EVER get a chance to check this place out? DO IT!! you will NOT REGRET IT!! It's a unique place to visit, go on a hike at the beach then visit. Go watch the sunrise then visit. Impress your special someone on a first breakfast date! Visit with your friends and family. Take your books to study or just chillax, I promise you, you will enjoy it!! The food tasted amazing, even though I just had a breakfast croissant and regular coffee, the croissant tasted freshly baked fluffy and flaky like I love it. The eggs were equally fluffy and the bacon on point! Coffee was perfect, not crazy strong that would cause my hair to straighten or not too light that it wouldn't give me the caffeine kick I need. The ambience is so soothing and serene, perfect for feeling at ease and tuned into a good conversation, or a good book.🥰🥰 I wish that I'd live close to it, it would easily become my favorite spot to visit.
